At Chancela, sustainability runs through production and management decisions, grounded in the research Marilha Naccari leads at Ecovision.

Ecovision is an initiative of Associação Cultural Panvision, created in 2021, that brings together Latin American specialists to build social, economic and environmental sustainability indicators suited to the region's film industry. It has produced the Ecovision seal and a carbon footprint calculator calibrated for Latin America. Marilha Naccari co-founded the initiative and leads its research and methodological development, in dialogue with her PhD at EGC/UFSC.

Ecovision milestones at Panvision

  • Carbon footprint calculator for Latin America, launched at Ventana Sur (2024)
  • Partnership with Globo to develop the seal, drawing on its Produções Verdes programme (2025)
  • Cooperation agreements with Paraguay's INAP and with IBEROFIC, the Ibero-American network of film commissions (2026)
